CROCHET ALONG WITH ELEONORA TULLY!

Eleonora Tully, Coastal Crochet

Crochet expert and designer Eleonora Tully of ‘Coastal Crochet’ is returning to Spinning Yarns with a new inspiring talk about crochet.

Eleonora will be bringing all her original blankets to the festival, as well as a brand new design ready for a sneak preview!

Eleonora will talk about her ‘crochet alongs’ which people from all over the world (more than 50 countries) have taken part in. Eleonora will talk about her own approach to crochet as well as sharing her experience of travelling to the International Yarn Bombing Festival in Milan, where she saw crochet being used in hugely imaginative and creative ways. Eleonora will talk about her day to day life as a crochet designer, giving plenty of tips to any budding designers.

James McIntosh, the founder of McIntosh – the natural fibre, pure wool and well-being brand – will entertain us on a journey of stitches through life.

An internationally renowned speaker, originally from Co. Armagh, James is returning to Spinning Yarns festival in 2022 to chat about all things ‘mindful knitting®’, life after covid and how those hand knitted stitches saved the day.  James is honest about his struggles with depression and how knitting quite literally saved his life.

Enter Dr Thomas Ernst FRCP, James’ side-kick and fiancé.  Dr Thomas is a senior consultant physician in a leading central London teaching hospital. Dr Thomas, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians uses mindfulness to treat his patients with chronic medical illness.

Come along and listen to the most famous of all couples celebrated in the knitting world and fresh off the pages of most knitting magazines. This event will have you quite literally … in stitches!
