Newtownabbey has a growing network of walking and cycling routes enabling people easier and safer access including the Newtownabbey Way. It is part of the National Cycle Network Route 93 which is highlighted on the map and provides easy access to Theatre at The Mill.
BY CAR FROM BELFAST
Simply take the M2 out of Belfast towards Antrim, exiting at Sandyknowes roundabout, take the A8 towards Larne. Continue to Corr’s Corner roundabout, take the A8 towards Larne to Houston’s Corner roundabout. Take the third exit onto Doagh Road and then straight ahead to the traffic lights. Turn right and then take the first left into Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey Borough Council Headquarters.
The Spinning Yarns Festival is in the Civic Square behind Mossley Mill.

There is ample FREE parking. The Spinning Yarns Festival is located in the enchanting setting of the restored Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey Borough Council headquarters, Carnmoney Road North, Newtownabbey, BT36 5QA.
AIRPORTS
Theatre at The Mill & Mossley Mill is a 15 minute drive from Belfast International Airport at Aldergrove and Belfast City Airport is approximately a 20 minute drive.

ACCESSIBILITY
Parking: The theatre has its own FREE car park and has accessible places available close to the Festival site. There are a total of 9 accessible car parking spaces available.
There is also an accessible path suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters that leads from the main car park area.
We also have accessible toilets which are fitted with grab rails, sink lever operated taps, low level mirrors and pull cord alarms.
Wheelchairs
This is a temporary, outdoor event located in The Civic Square and is subject to varying weather and ground conditions. The Civic Square itself is laid in grass and surrounded by a wide, flat paved surface. Whilst every effort is made to make the Festival accessible, ground conditions will be subject to weather.
Baby Changing Facilities
Baby change facilities are located in The Theatre within the accessible toilet. The height of the baby change table once extended is 95cm (3ft 1in).
